Wide Fit Shoes for Women
If your shoes pinch, squeeze, or leave your toes cramped by the end of the day, you're not alone. Millions of women struggle to find shoes that fit properly - and the problem isn't your feet. Barefoot shoes are the widest fitting footwear available, with a toe box shaped like an actual foot so your toes can splay naturally. No more bunions, numbness, or squished toes. Just comfortable, stylish shoes that let your feet do what they were designed to do.

Tight Shoes Are Doing More Harm Than You Think
Conventional shoes force your feet into narrow, pointed shapes that simply don't match the natural width of a human foot. Over time, the damage adds up.
Pinching & Bunions
Narrow toe boxes squeeze your toes together, forcing the big toe inward. Over time this causes bunions, calluses, and chronic pain that only gets worse with every pair of narrow shoes you wear.
Numbness & Tingling
When shoes compress the nerves in your feet, you feel it as tingling, numbness, or burning sensations. This is your body telling you the shoe is too tight - and ignoring it can lead to longer-term nerve damage.
Cramped Toe Box
Most "wide fit" shoes are only wider at the ball of the foot but still taper to a narrow point at the toes. Your toes need room to splay naturally - without it, your balance, stability, and foot strength all suffer.
The problem isn't your feet. It's your shoes. Barefoot shoes are designed around the natural shape of a human foot — wide at the toes, flat from heel to forefoot, and flexible enough to move with you. They're the widest fitting shoes you can buy.
What Makes a Truly Wide Fit Shoe?
Most shoes labelled "wide fit" are only wider in the middle - they still pinch at the toes. A genuinely wide shoe needs three things, and barefoot shoes deliver all three:
Wide Toe Box
The toe box should be widest at the ends of your toes, not at the ball of your foot. This lets your toes splay naturally, the way they do when you're barefoot - which improves balance, reduces bunions, and prevents the crowding that causes most foot pain.
Zero-Drop Sole
Conventional shoes have a raised heel that tilts your posture forward and puts extra pressure on the front of your foot. Zero drop means the heel and forefoot are at the same height - the same as standing barefoot. This distributes your weight evenly and takes pressure off the width of your foot.
Flexible Construction
Thick, rigid soles stop your foot from moving naturally. Your foot has 33 joints and over 100 muscles - they need to flex, bend, and feel the ground. A thin, flexible sole lets your foot spread to its full width with every step, strengthening the muscles that keep your feet healthy.

How to Measure Your Feet
Getting the right size is the most important part of finding comfortable wide fit shoes. Here's a simple way to measure your feet at home.
Place a sheet of A4 paper against a wall on a hard floor.
Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall. Wear the socks you'd normally wear.
Mark the tip of your longest toe on the paper, then measure from the wall to that mark.
Measure both feet - use the longer measurement. Compare against the size guide on each product page.
Tip: Measure your feet in the afternoon or evening. Feet naturally swell slightly throughout the day, so this gives you a more realistic measurement for all-day comfort.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are wide fit shoes? +
Genuine wide fit shoes are designed to match the natural width of a human foot, rather than tapering into a point. They offer extra room where you need it most - across the toe box - allowing your foot to sit flat and comfortably without squeezing.
Are barefoot shoes the same as wide fit shoes? +
While not all wide fit shoes are barefoot shoes, barefoot shoes are inherently wide fit! Barefoot shoes combine a naturally wide, foot-shaped toe box with a flat, flexible sole to give you the ultimate unrestricted fit.
What width are barefoot shoes? +
Because they are shaped like a real foot, barefoot shoes offer a very generous width at the front (the toe box). This makes them an excellent choice for women searching for E, EE, or wider fittings who struggle with standard high street footwear.
Can I wear barefoot shoes if I have bunions? +
Yes! The spacious toe box in barefoot shoes removes the outward pressure on the side of your foot. Many women find that switching to shoes for wide feet with a natural shape drastically relieves bunion discomfort.
Do you sell wide fit shoes in half sizes? +
Our curated brand selection includes a variety of sizing conventions. While some brands offer half sizes, others use European sizing which provides a highly specific fit. Please check individual product pages for detailed sizing advice.
How long does delivery take? +
We offer fast 1-3 day UK delivery for all our footwear. If you place your order before 12 PM, we will dispatch it the very same day.

As an independent UK shop, we want you to love your new shoes. We offer an easy, hassle-free returns policy so you can try your shoes on at home and ensure they're the perfect fit.
