The Foot Collective
Strong feet don't need support - they need training. The Foot Collective builds tools for exactly that: simple, effective kit designed by physiotherapists to restore natural foot function from the ground up.
Their philosophy is refreshingly honest: modern footwear and sedentary habits have weakened our feet over decades, but feet are remarkably adaptable. Given the right stimulus, they rebuild strength, mobility and blood flow. TFC was founded by physiotherapist Nick St. Louis with one mission: help as many people as possible rebuild strong, capable feet and reconnect with natural movement.
It's why they fit BarefootBrit so well. We obsess over what goes on your feet - the wide toe boxes, zero-drop soles and flexible uppers of proper barefoot shoes. TFC takes care of the feet inside them, with a toolkit that stretches what's tight, releases what's stuck, and builds genuine skill and dexterity. Shoes and tools, two halves of the same job.
From toe spacers and massage tools to foot dexterity trainers, every TFC product is made to be used daily, built from natural materials like Spanish cork, medical-grade silicone and handwoven cotton. And 1% of every order goes to reforestation - rebuilding forests while you rebuild your feet.
The 5 F's of Natural Footwear
TFC's checklist for choosing footwear that lets your feet work as nature intended. It's the same philosophy behind every barefoot shoe we stock.
Foot-shaped
The shoe matches the anatomy of your foot, with a wide toe box that lets your toes splay and move freely instead of being squeezed together.
Flat
Zero drop from heel to toe, so your heel isn't lifted above your forefoot. This keeps your posture and alignment natural from the ground up.
Flexible
The sole bends and twists, letting your foot's 33 joints adapt to the ground beneath them instead of being braced inside a stiff shoe.
Feel
A thin sole passes sensory feedback from the ground to your brain, sharpening balance and control with every step you take.
Fixed
Straps or laces hold the shoe securely to your foot, so your toes never have to claw and grip to keep it on while you walk.
TFC's tip: you can switch to foot-shaped and fixed shoes right away, but transition to flat, flexible and thin soles gradually as your feet adapt.
How to Use Your Foot Tools
Each tool has its own job. Together they cover the three things your feet need most: stretch, release and skill.
Wild Toes - Stretch
Slide them between your toes while you relax in the evening. Start with 10-15 minutes and build up slowly as your feet adapt.
Shop Wild Toes →SoleMate - Move
Stand or sit with a sole on the textured cork surface and roll. Two minutes first thing in the morning wakes the whole foot up.
Shop SoleMate →Cork Mobility Ball - Release
Roll slowly from heel to toes, pausing on tender spots for 20-30 seconds. Also brilliant on tight calves and lower legs.
Shop the Cork Ball →Foot Sack - Play
Kick it, pick it up with your toes, pass it between feet. Builds dexterity and coordination through genuine play, barefoot.
