We're Lowenna and Daniel, the husband-and-wife team behind BarefootBrit Shop, an independent, family-run barefoot shoe business based in Shustoke, Warwickshire.
Our journey into barefoot footwear began at home. Like many families, we started questioning why so many shoes are shaped differently from the feet wearing them. Daniel's search for suitable barefoot work boots brought another challenge into focus: finding footwear that combines a natural foot shape with the practicality needed for everyday life.
We realised that choosing barefoot shoes wasn't always straightforward. With so many brands, different fits and confusing sizing, knowing where to start could feel overwhelming. We wanted to make that easier.
That's why we created BarefootBrit Shop.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to explore footwear that gives their feet room to move naturally.

But finding the right pair is about more than choosing a style. Different brands fit differently, and what works for one person won't necessarily work for another. That's why we're developing practical sizing advice and our BarefootBrit Fit System™ to help you understand your options and shop with greater confidence.
Our aim is simple: to make finding barefoot shoes easier, clearer and less of a guessing game.
A family business with a shared purpose
BarefootBrit Shop grew from our family's wider connection to barefoot footwear. Lowenna's sister, Brit, founded the wider BarefootBrit platform, building a community of people exploring alternatives to conventional footwear.
Lowenna went on to establish BarefootBrit Shop with Daniel as a separate retail business, bringing together specialist barefoot shoe brands in one place.
Today, we're proud to run an independent UK shop built around helping people discover footwear that suits their feet and their lives.
