I am Daniel Adams, though most people know me as Barefoot Dan. I started Barefoot Brit Shop because I believe movement should feel like freedom.
I did not want to just sell shoes through a screen. I wanted to know exactly how they were made, who was making them, and if they lived up to the barefoot philosophy. That journey took me to the Oak & Hyde headquarters in Trowbridge.
Meeting the team and seeing their process first hand (or foot) changed everything for me. In an industry full of mass produced footwear, Oak & Hyde stood out. How do I transition to barefoot shoes?
Start by wearing them 1-2 hours per day and gradually increase over 2-4 weeks. Some soreness is normal as your foot muscles strengthen.
